Looking for the Bighorn Mountains (from the Jersey Shore?) Anticipation!

Seaside Heights Boardwalk (SkyScraper looks like large propeller, one of the few rides to survive hurricane Sandy.)

Getting on the Skyscraper, I asked the ride attended to give me an extra pause at the top. I told him I would be traveling to Wyoming in 2 days and want to look West and try to see the Bighorn Mountains. He looked to the West and replied, “Are you sure it’s clear enough? Those clouds from hurricane Ida might block your view!”

I tried to hide my surprise he might not have understood my joke. Not wanting to explain or hold up the line I replied, “I think the curvature of the Earth may block my view.” He looked perplexed.

I had the itch to get to the ocean as a proper start (or just before) my westward journey. The ocean view gives me that same daunting perspective as when I look at the Bighorn Mountains. Ever so large, and almost incomprehensible in it’s size.
