Subscription information
At the Rittenhouse Astronomical Society, we like to keep you up to date on the web. There is a newer technology out called RSS. With RSS (Really Simple Syndication) you can click on one of the links and copy the code into your favorite 'news reader.' A news reader is often a free piece of software that lets you take different 'feeds' from many locations around the web including your favorite sites like CNN and NPR. Most all of the news sites these days publish RSS feeds. We have a few different feeds for our monthly calendar, general news information, and for podcasts when we do them down the line. To subscribe, just click on the button below, and copy the link into your favorite news readers.
A popular RSS reader is made by google and is called Google Reader. You can find Google Reader at the following link : http://www.google.com/reader/view/ If you already have a google account, you can login and use that account. When you navigate and login to the home page, you will see a link on the left side that says 'Add Subscription.' Click on that and add any of the links listed below in orange. Once you do that, it will take a second for the page to load, and then on the right side you will see the news feed information, and on the left side you will now see a link for the feed.
