All Sounds Astral

This is a new idea that we have to bring the world of music into astronomy. On this page, you will reviews of new-age / space music. This will be music that you would most likely hear while watching a movie about space, or when we have our tours of the night sky in the Planetarium. If you know any space age artists, ambient artists, or soundscapers please use the contact link to the left and let us know all about them. We would also like to post your review. Give it a try, help us connect these two worlds as many past famous astronomers have.

Lou Reed: Hudson River Wind Meditations
Hudson River Wind Meditations

Check out a new ambient CD just released by Lou Reed called Hudson River Wind Meditations. Although it is not what most expect from Lou Reed, (no it is definitely not Metal Machine Music) it will not let the ambient music lovers (should I say audio environmental seekers) down. If others play ambient or star type (astral sounding) sound-scapes at their star-parties or sky-watches, this CD will definitely set the mood. Remember to credit the artist! Please be prepared to tell people who they are listening to and where to obtain the CD. It is available on line and at most CD stores with a more eclectic or complete catalog of artists.
